The legacy of the mountains
The MMM Ripa on castle Bruneck, once a summer residence of the prince bishops, is dedicated to mountain peoples from all over the world – Asia, Africa, South America and Europe – as well as their culture, religion and tourism. In the multimedia guide, Reinhold Messner himself, guides visitors through the museum, telling about mountain culture, which is reflected in the everyday life of mountain people. In the museum itself the “legacy of the mountains”, which has ensured survival high up in the mountains for thousands of years, is brought closer to museum visitors by means of dwellings, films and encounters.
